APPETIZER PARTY RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
  • 1 cup bite-size pretzels
  • 1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces.
APPETIZER PARTY RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:

Microwave: In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High until melted. Stir in the seasonings. Stir in other ingredients until evenly coated.

Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container...enjoy the appetizers !

BABA GHANNOUJ (EGGPLANT APPETIZER)

Appetizer Party Recipe Ingredients:
  • 6 eggplants
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • salt
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Appetizer Party Recipe Instructions:
Cook eggplants whole on all sides, turning as necessary until they are soft throughout & the skin is charred. Set aside to cool for 1 hour. Peel eggplants and discard skin. In a mixing bowl, add lemon juice and tahini. Blend well. Add salt to taste.
Finely chop the garlic cloves and add to mashed eggplant. Stir well and chill.
To serve, place in a flat serving dish and garnish with parsley. Pour olive oil the top...and enjoy the party appetizer !

SALMON APPETIZERS

Appetizer Party Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 large pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 large sweet onion, finely minced
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 8 oz smoked salmon or lox bits
Appetizer Party Recipe Instructions:
Cut the onion into quarters and place into the bowl of a food processor. Process with a few pulses until it is evenly chopped but be careful not to liquefy. Break the cream cheese into 4-5 sections and add to the processor.

Add the onion powder and garlic powder and process the mixture just until the onions are finely minced.

Cut smoked salmon into strips just large enough to fit on club crackers. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the cracker and cover it with a strip of salmon.

Optional: Top with a sliver of onion or a sprinkle of onion powder.

These can be made into bite-sized stuffed salmon rolls if you roll up the cream chesse mixture inside a small strip of salmon and place each one on a circular cracker....enjoy this party appetizer !

Appetizer Recipe : Barbecued Chicken Wontons

Appetizer Party Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cooked diced chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 3 green onions with about 3 to 4 inches of green, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Dash black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons purchased or homemade barbecue sauce
  • 24 to 30 wonton wrappers
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Barbecue sauce for dipping
Appetizer Party Recipe Instructions
In a food processor, a food chopper, or by hand, finely mince the chicken and onions with seasonings. Add 3 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and process or mix well to combine. Put 1 teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Lightly brush water all around the edge of the wrapper. Fold over and press the edge all around to seal or follow instructions on the wonton wrapper insert for folding. Keep filled wontons covered with a damp dish towel to keep them from drying out, and keep the unused wrappers covered
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 370°. Fry the filled wontons, 3 or 4 at a time, until golden brown. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate and keep warm. Serve with barbecue sauce.
Makes about 2 to 2 1/2 dozen appetizers....enjoy the appetizer !

Appetizer Recipe: Ham and Asparagus Roll-Ups

Appetizer Party Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 pounds asparagus spears, cooked and drained
  • 6 thin slices cooked ham
Appetizer Party Recipe Instructions :
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over low heat; stir in the flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. Add cheese; stir until melted. Using 8 slices of boiled ham, wrap about 5 or 6 asparagus spears with a slice of ham, then place in a baking dish. Repeat with remaining ham and asparagus. Place in a 375° oven and heat for about 10 minutes, until heated through. Pour cheese sauce over roll-ups to serve 4 persons.

Appetizer Party Recipe: Cajun Chicken Wings

Appetizer Party Recipe Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup peanut oil, divided
  • 4 pounds chicken wings (about 20 wings)
  • 10 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Appetizer Party Recipe Instructions:
Grease two large baking sheets using 2 tablespoons of the oil on each one.

Cut the wings into 3 pieces; discard the wing tips (or save for stock), and cut the wings at the joint into two pieces.

To make the marinade, heat the remaining 1/2 cup peanut oil with the rest of the ingredients in a small saucepan, stir until the butter melts.

Add the chicken wing pieces to a large bowl, add the marinade, and toss to coat the chicken wings evenly. Marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to several hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Stir a few times while marinating to evenly coat wings.

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.

Place the wings on the greased baking sheets and put in the preheated oven. Cook for 30 minutes, then pour off excess liquid. Loosen the wings with a metal spatula and turn, repositioning the wings so they all cook evenly. Cook 20 minutes longer.

The cooking time may vary according to the size of the wings. If the wings are small, bake for 20 minutes, loosen and turn as directed above, and cook 20 minutes longer. ..and the appetizer party recipe of cajun chicken wings is ready to serve...enjoy it !

* 1 pkg. Flour Tortillas
* 1 pkg. Cream cheese
* Deli Ham Slices and or Turkey Slices

Appetizer Party Recipe INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Spread cream cheese on one side of flour tortilla.
2. Layer one or two slices of ham and/or turkey on top of cream cheese.
3. Add an additional layer of cream cheese on top of the ham.
4. Place a second flour tortilla on top.
5. Roll the entire tortilla, ham, and cream cheese.
6. Place toothpicks into the roll to hold it together.
7. Cut the tortilla roll into 2 inch parts on either side of the toothpick.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl and mix well. Shape meat balls into 2 balls (you can make them as big or small as you like).

Slightly grease your baking pan. Bake meatballs at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes. They will be sort of greasy, so you will need to drain the fat off before serving.

* 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
* 1/2 cup shortening
* 3 to 4 tablespoons water
* 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
* 1 tablespoon paprika

INSTRUCTIONS:
Sift together the flour, salt, and dry mustard. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles meal. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of water over and stir with a fork until flour is moistened and forms a ball. Add more water, a small amount at a time, if necessary. Turn dough out onto a floured surface; roll into a rectangle 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle half of the dough surface with 1/3 cup of shredded cheese and 1 teaspoon paprika. Fold plain half over the covered half and pinch edges to seal. Roll out to a rectangle again and sprinkle half with another 1/3 cup shredded cheese and 1 teaspoon paprika. Repeat rolling and sprinkling one more time. Roll into a rectangle 1/4-inch thick and cut into 3-inch strips. Place cheese straws on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes, until puffed and golden brown. * 2 1/2 cups pecan halves
* 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
Put pecans and oil in a flat baking pan; stir until pecans are coated. Roast in 300° oven 20 to 25 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool.

Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, and water in a saucepan; cook, stirring, over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Boil to 236° of a candy thermometer, or to soft ball stage.* Remove from heat; blend in vanilla. Add pecans and stir until mixture is creamy. Turn out onto waxed paper and use a fork to separate pecans.

*To Test for Soft Ball Stage
A small amount of syrup dropped into chilled water forms a ball, but is soft enough to flatten when picked up with fingers (234° to 240°).

* 2 cups Wheat Chex
* 2 cups Rice Chex
* 2 cups Cheerios
* 1/2 cups thin pretzel sticks, slightly broken up
* 2 cups pecans
* 2 cups walnuts
* 1/2 cup Spanish peanuts
* 1 stick margarine
* 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 teaspoon celery salt
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* 1/2 rounded teaspoon garlic powder
* salt, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
Measure cereals, pretzel sticks, pecans, walnuts, and peanuts into a large bowl or food storage bag; gently stir or toss to combine.

In a large, deep skillet, melt margarine with Worcestershire sauce. Add celery salt, onion powder and garlic powder. Stir mixture to blend, and with low heat still on, add cereals and nuts. With a spatula, keep turning until all pieces are coated. Spread out on 2 large baking sheets (with sides) and place in oven for 1 hour at 250°. Use a spatula to turn ingredients every 15 minutes. Spread out on paper towels to cool. Taste and add salt, if needed. When cool, store in tightly covered container. Reheat to freshen, if necessary. Ingredients :

* 2 whole(s) (1 pound each) eggplants , each halved lengthwise
* 4 clove(s) garlic, unpeeled
* 3 tablespoon(s) tahini, sesame puree
* 3 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
* Salt
* 1/4 cup(s) loosely packed fresh cilantro or mint leaves, chopped
* Toasted or grilled pita wedges
* Carrot and cucumber sticks and red or yellow pepper slices

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a 15 1/2" by 10 1/2" jelly-roll pan with nonstick foil (or use regular foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray). Place eggplant halves, skin-sides up, in foil-lined pan. Wrap garlic in foil and place in pan with eggplants. Roast vegetables 45 to 50 minutes or until eggplants are very tender and skin is shriveled and browned. Unwrap garlic. Cool eggplants and garlic until easy to handle.
2. When cool, scoop eggplants' flesh into food processor with knife blade attached. Squeeze out garlic pulp from each clove and add to food processor with tahini, lemon juice, and 3/4 teaspoon salt; pulse to coarsely chop. Spoon dip into serving bowl; stir in cilantro.
